From Existential Crisis to Something That Feels Like Magic
Hi! I’m Maris 👋
I’ve been meaning to share a bit of my story — so here it goes. This first chapter is called: “From Existential Crisis to Something That Feels Like Magic.”
One year ago, I woke up with a job I loved… and went to bed without it. A sudden change of management and — boom — all projects paused. Indefinitely.
As freelancers, we know that risk. But after years of steady income, this was new territory for me. It felt like someone had yanked the rug out from under my feet and left me staring at the floor, wondering, what the hell just happened?
At the same time, I was moving from Italy to Berlin, and life just seemed like a complete mess! No stability anywhere — and all at once.
So, after hundreds of “thank you for applying” emails, I decided it was time for something drastic and unexpectedly triggering: to become my own client. Terrifying, right?
If you’ve ever tried that, you know the pain. And if you haven’t — let me tell you — it’s no walk in the park. Suddenly, I wasn’t behind the scenes anymore — I was the scene. Creating content for myself? Cringe. Finding my voice? Awkward. Pitching myself after years of pitching others? Straight-up terrifying.
All the confidence I had helping others succeed seemed to vanish the second I turned it on myself. And yet… life kept nudging me that way. I was forced to pause, look inward, and ask: What the hell do I really want to create?
That question sent me down a path of healing, redefining, and reimagining what “work” could even mean. Then something shifted. What started as a few little hacks to make my workflow easier turned into something electric — this deep curiosity about what tech could really do for us nowadays.
Can AI potentially become humanity's sugar daddy?
I’ve always loved helping people streamline processes, tell their stories, and grow their projects. But this time, I was discovering tools that didn’t just help people build businesses… they helped them get their time back. Their energy. Their sanity. In a world that demands more every damn day, that felt like magic.
Losing that job was scary. Reinventing myself? Terrifying. But out of that chaos came something unexpected — something that feels almost magical: helping people work less and enjoy more.
So yeah… from existential crisis to AI magic — that’s the story I’ll be sharing along the way.
Stick around — I’ll be sharing the messy, real, and hopefully useful bits too. ✨
